Asteer Planning was instructed by Lovell Partnerships (part of the Morgan Sindell Group) to promote its land interest at Chapel Lane for Green Belt release in the emerging St Helens Local Plan.
The site extends to circa 4.25 hectares in a sustainable location on the edge of Sutton Manor and the Bold Forest Park. The proposal is unique and comprises 150 new affordable houses in the form of mews, semi-detached and detached properties.
The proposed development will be set in high quality landscaping and open space with Green Belt compensation secured on adjoining land promoting access to the wider Bold Forest Park as well as biodiversity net gain.
Asteer Planning appeared at the St Helens Local Plan Examination in May and June 2021 and the site was removed from the Green Belt and safeguarded in the adopted Local Plan.
Asteer continues to advise Lovell and with a view to monitoring and identifying opportunities for the submission of a planning application ahead of the next Local Plan review.
