Land at Peter Destapleigh, Nantwich

Land at Peter Destapleigh Way is a large greenfield site located immediately adjacent to the built-up edge of Nantwich. Outline planning permission for a mixed use development on the site including up to 189 homes, a local centre, employment development, a primary school and village green was approved in July 2020 following a lengthy planning process including an appeal and subsequent High Court challenge.

Asteer Planning secured reserved matters planning permission for the residential phase of development on behalf of Barratt & David Wilson Homes North West in May 2023. Our scope included the preparation and coordination of the planning application, community consultation and stakeholder engagement and leading a process of engagement with Cheshire East Council (‘CEC’) to prepare a detailed Design Code for the site.

Asteer has subsequently prepared and submitted a reserved matters application for the next phase of development for a mix of employment and retail use on behalf of Muller Property Group. The reserved matters for Phase 2 was submitted in July 2023.
