Asteer Planning, on behalf of HBD, has submitted a full planning application for over 200,000 sq ft of sustainable, high quality, flexible commercial workspace. Asteer has led the scheme through a proactive pre application process with Manchester City Council with an aim for determination in early 2024.
The 16 storey scheme, named Colloco, and designed by EPR Architects, is situated in a prime location within the heart of Spinningfields and Manchester City Centre on the former Manchester College site. The project follows on from HBDs Island Project and will be one of Manchester’s first Net Zero building and has targeted a BREEAM Excellent Rating, and a 5.5-star accreditation for NABERS UK. The design of building prioritises the wellbeing of all who will use the space in the future, with ground floor communal spaces and a roof pavilion that will feature breakout and events spaces with views across the city.
