Paul graduated from the University of Sheffield with a Masters in Town and Regional Planning in 2011 and has spent his career in private consultancy practices, starting in the Midlands before becoming chartered in 2013 and moving to Manchester in 2014.  Following a 3 year spell at Lichfields, Paul moved to Avison Young (formerly GVA and HOW Planning) and has continued to establish himself as an expert residential planning advisor for a range of clients, with a focus on small, medium and volume housebuilders.

Paul combines a proactive, commercially focussed nature with a meticulous approach to issues to deliver results and best value for clients.  He has built up his experience through working on a wide range of complex major projects across several sectors and navigating the challenges they present, including leading the preparing major planning applications (including very special circumstances cases), promoting strategic land, representing clients at Local Plan examinations, and preparing evidence in support of planning appeals.

Outside of work, Paul spends most of his time with his wife Sarah and their two young children but tries to fit in cycling, golf and football wherever possible.
