Mirrlees Fields, Stockport

Mirrlees Fields comprises approximately 26 hectares of land in Stockport which is privately owned by MAN Energy Solutions UK Limited (“MAN”). The site currently has no public access without prior permission from MAN, aside from the modest network of public right of ways which cross the site.

An outline planning application with all matters reserved at Mirrlees Fields was submitted to Stockport Council in August 2021 and is pending determination. The planning application will see approximately 21 hectares of the site unlocked as protected open space for use by the general public in perpetuity.  Approximately 4.4 hectares of the site will be redeveloped for up to 200 houses.

Asteer Planning is instructed to provide general strategic planning advice and to negotiate the determination of this live planning application.
