Newtons Road is a mixed used scheme which will deliver up to 141 dwellings and 60 bed care home, with additional uses such as a gym, swimming pool/spa; office/light industrial floorspace; restaurant provision; with associated car parking, public open space, public realm, cliff stabilisation & sea defence works.
Asteer successfully secured a Marine Licence for the sea defence works which included the submission of a Supplementary Environmental Statement.

Prestwich Town Centre Regeneration
Client: Muse Developments
Value: £100m+Project Detail
The Prestwich Town Centre masterplan will provide up to 210 new homes including affordable housing, a new food hall, village square and flexible retail/community floorspace. Asteer prepared both the Environmental Statement and Environmental Statement Addendum in support of the application which has since been granted consent.

Wiggins Hill Battery Energy Storage System (BESS), Birmingham

The Wiggins Hill BESS facility will extract surplus electricity from the grid at times of low demand and store energy in batteries on site. Stored electricity will be redistributed back into the grid network at times where local demand is high. Asteer prepared and submitted a full planning application, supported by an EIA Screening Report which determined EIA was not required and confirmed in Birmingham City Council’s Screening Opinion.

Moneystone Quarry Leisure Park
Client: Laver Leisure

Moneystone Quarry is a high quality leisure development comprising holiday lodges; a new central hub building providing a range of facilities including, but not limited to, a swimming pool, restaurant, bowling alley, spa, gym and archery centre. The Phase 1 Reserved Matters application was initially refused and taken to an inquiry. Asteer prepared an ES Addendum to support the appeal where the application was subsequently approved by the Planning Inspectorate.
