Welcome to Hilbre & Overlea Estates consultation on the proposals for of up to 29 residential dwellings on land to the west of Rowton Bridge, Christleton.
Feedback from the local community and key stakeholders is important to us. All comments will be carefully considered as we develop and shape our proposals.
An Outline Planning Application is to be submitted on behalf of the landowner, to Cheshire West and Chester Council, confirming the maximum number of new homes, and the access location. Detailed matters relating to the layout, landscaping, and appearance will be submitted at a later date.

The Proposals
The proposal seeks to deliver up to 29 dwellings, including 45% affordable homes, and associated public open space and landscaping. Vehicular and pedestrian access are intended to be taken off Rowton Bridge Road to the east of the site. In addition, a potential pedestrian and cycle link is proposed to link the site to the canal towpath, as well as a safe and continuous pedestrian route along the site’s eastern frontage to connect the A41 to Rowton Bridge.
